Mission Statement

The Friends of the Greenwood Lake Public Library’s mission is to raise community awareness of the library by promoting its many educational and entertainment resources as well as the library’s adult, family and children’s programs.

General Information

Funds raised by the Friends may be used in many ways by the library – library material, shelving, display cases, new ceiling tiles, etc.

JFOL usually meets the 1st Wednesday of the month in the Youth Study Center.

JFOL raised $33 from their Holiday Bake Sale and $704 from their Snow Ball fundraisers. FOL raised $327 from their Gingerbread House Raffle and $81 from their “Love Your Library” fundraisers. A very special thank you to Hal Weinstein who has created/donated our Gingerbread House every year. It would be impossible to have this fundraiser without Hal’s generosity. A big round of applause for our wonderful volunteers who sold tickets for us (Kate Elgheur, Kathy Martin, Lisa Padilla and Beth Perretti)!

50/50 raffle tickets for the FOL’s Annual Spring fundraiser are now on sale at the library’s front desk and may be sold at other venues as well. The winner will be drawn at the FOL’s annual “Senior” (as in Citizen) Prom fundraiser (the raffle winner need not be present to win); the “Senior” Prom will be held on Thursday, May 6th from 5-8pm; doors open at 4pm.
